CAP is a national peer-led criminal justice charity. In 2024 Our current main funders are The Irish Prison Service, Probation Services, Rethink Ireland and St Stephens Green Trust. We also receive both corporate and individual donations which allow us to carry out services which are vital to those whom have been incarcerated and their families.
Our Accounts are Audited annually in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles by an Independent Auditor.

This CAP’s peer support group was so desperately needed for a long, long time. So happy to hear that finally there is help for so many who are and who have been judged. The lack of support in and around the transition, for so many in this situation, or facing these experiences is huge. Well done CAP. Wish you well in this journey.
I didn’t know where to turn when he was sent to prison or what to do, it was such a relief when I found CAP – they made me feel safe, explained things and helped me and the kids.
I get such a lot from being a mentor, being able to help someone is just a brilliant feeling, I want to share with others what it’s like to be out and stay out, it’s not easy but it can be done, and I can help.
Since linking in with CAP I have become a changed person. My outlook on life has changed. I have so much to look forward to in the future and it’s all thanks to Care After Prison. I’m not sure what I would have done without CAP, before I met my key worker I was in a very dark place, I did not believe it could get better and neither did my family.
